How To Reset a Honda Air Blade Oil Change Indicator Light
I was spending too much on taxi and met people that said I should do a scooter. I was excited to try and feeling good. But the scooter guy made me really nervous and loss my confidence after finding out I never rode before and said maybe its too hard and scary for me 🥴.
the signal has been flashing since the motorcycle was purchased and even after the oil change. How to adjust so that it does not flash
j'ai bien l'intention d'acheter un suzuki vstrom en 650 ai-je la bonne idée ?merci
Mine had piston slack yesterday 😢
Had mine for 15 years now, and 165,000km. A lot of dirt. A lot of long distance. Zero issues apart from the usual consumables, tryes, chain/sprockets, oil changes, spark plugs etc. Use 98 premium and it gets 24km/lt or 69 mpg at normal highay limit. Great bike,. Happy trails
Try keeping the item your talking about in view, it would help.
Rich hi i also have a new xr150 so im glad i found your video. Do those clamps hook on to one or both of the bars? It looks like just one. Mine only fit one bar each really. I didnt try it yet but maybe once it's clamped down it will be tight enough. I have 4 clamps. I think have also seen a steel plate used on the bottom with 4 holes so you make like a sandwich and the plate is the bottom piece of bread. Not sure if i can buy that somewhere or need to make my own.
Yes, on this one the front 2 clips were only on 1 bar because of the spacing of them, and the rear one managed to cover 2. Even just covering 1 bar then because of the shape and the number of clips it is totally solid though.
if you got one fitted to your bike is it easy to take it off fit plate on other bike ?
Yes, just remove the box and unbolt the carrier from the rack and fit to the rack on the new bike. If you have more than 1 bike then if you use the same make/carrier you can move boxes between bikes. I'm lucky enough to have a couple of bikes and a few different size boxes (all Givi Monolock) and can just fit any box on any bike 👍
How do you stop someone taking the box once it's clipped in? Do you have to use a key or something to remove it from the monolock plate? Thanks
@@gregmartyn1976 yes, the box can only be removed if the lock is unlocked.
Great classic moped 👍 They use to sold them here in Belgium back in the 80's. I like the simplicity and lightweight of mopeds. Great video ❤
Thanks!
Thank you bro
Just wondering what happened to this build. I’m thinking of restarting my build on my bike and came across this for inspiration
Unfortunately I didn't have the space for it after a few years abroad so it was sold as a project before being fully complete 😭
do you have to have a luggage rack for any top box?
You do need some sort of rack to be able to fit the top box bracket onto yes.
That's a motorcycle not a scooter
ive just bought a 2019 150 shadow myself, how do you find adjustign the chain etc? ive never owned a bike before
It was pretty easy to adjust like most bikes. There are plenty of videos out there showing basic maintenance and the only thing you'll need to know is how much slack there should be. This info should be in the manual.
Nice! These are the roads we all deserve! Send me the route 👌🏻
Yep, it's an ace route and this was just a tiny fraction of the TNT. Check out the Trans Northern Trail Facebook group where you can also download a GPS of the whole thing 👍
@@RichRides I’ll do just that
Some good footage here buddy 👌🏻
Thanks 👍
I love riding in Bali. Hati Hati my friend
My 2008 (2nd one) will be with me for the duration. I agree with your review 100%. At 6'3" the Suzuski Tall screen (on a Madstad bracket) it perfection. I use Pelican cases for panniers. Long days, camping, on tarmac and dirt/gravel, this bike always does what I ask of it without fail. Comfort for a 600 mile day came as a surprise, but should not have.
Im 31 years old and getting this as my first bike. I have done my mod 1 but not mod 2 yet. Do you think its a good idea for me to just learn on this for 6 months or so before upgrading to the cb650R or just get the 650r straight away?
Personally I think it's a good idea to ride a smaller (and much lighter) bike for a few months to get to grips with riding and gain some decent experience.
Long terms reviews are the best. I stopped riding motorcycles 34 years ago, but after retirement I'm looking for a motorcycle again. Monday I will be trying a DL650 V-strom 2004.
Did you buy it ? I hope so, it is a keeper !
I'm a 2004 650 owner here. With me since 2019, it is my first big bike. Bought it with 31.000km. The only problem I had was the headlight connect that melted, a known issue on the early models. It now reaching 66.000km. I love this thing.
So if it does not blink, there's no need to change the oil, right?
It comes on after the miles they recommend between oil changes so in theory you don't need to change it until the light comes on. Personally, I change oil in my bikes more frequently anyway as I figure that oil is cheaper than new engines so I'd rather be more cautious...
Could you tell us the brand of your pannia bars?
These were the standard Honda pannier racks as it had the full Honda luggage pack.
Great bike! Also love the little ride and sneak peak into Vietnam from a Honda!
Thanks, and there are lots of other Vietnam rides on my channel where I get out into the amazing mountains 👍
Is this a dangerous sign?
It's a warning that the oil needs changing. This is done purely on mileage though since it was last reset.
Thank you...
Very helpful. Thanks very much for making this video.
Hello!! Loved your video, I am fairly curious about the top case rack, where did you get it? I have been looking for it nonstop
It was on the bike when I got it so I can't help there unfortunately.
People hate scooters u til they ride them. Or they are Harley dudes and they have a serious pact against all scooters
So many types of scooters there wiwowowowow
2:20 those dudes are tandem riding in flip flops with bamboo poles. That is amazing I wish in america I wasn’t the only one doing something like this
Holy sheeeeeeet where are you? This land is incredible! And the amount of people on scooters there is awesome wowowowow
This was in Bali but it's similar in most of Asia. Take a look at some of my Vietnam videos on here too 👍
tq for helping
looks like radrunner
How much do they cost?
This was in Vietnam so very cheap! This one sold for 12m VND which is only around £385 (UK GBP)!
My partner sold her 650 this yr. I have the 1000. Now and again the extra power is nice. But I'm sorry I didn't sell the 1000 and keep her 650. It's a great all-rounder and handles Better on the secondary rds. If in doubt, go for the 650. Ps, the 1000 is a lot bigger and heavier.
A friend of mine had a 650 and changed to the 1000 but said the same that he much preferred the 650.
Honest review! I wish someone would do the same on the newer, larger engine (853cc). I think- w/o the hype, you'd end up w/ the same review, right?
Thanks. I've not ridden any newer ones so it would be good to compare.
Thank you pal. Il be there some time this year. The westrrn world just to mad for me. Peace out
It's a great place and I do miss it myself!
I'm picking one of these up in a few days. Really enjoyed the test drive last week and it ticks the boxes I want for my next vehicle. This video was very useful in terms of getting me set up with some more information. One query - how does the EV mode benefit at higher speeds, particularly when cruising around 60mph say? Will the Ioniq switch fully into EV mode, or at that sort of speed is it more just for a bit of background assistance, maybe running the heater, radio, that sort of thing?
God the music is annoying
Next time find person to hold a camera.
Excellent. I fixed it within a minute with your help
Glad it helped!
That worked! you’re a genius 🎉
You're welcome!
Is this engine a 360 degree crank?
just bought one for £250 a 2011 one, have to sort out the engine tho but after that should be a good stater bike i suppose
Thank you so much Sir, it's really effective
Hi can I ask where you got that exhaust?
The bike already had it fitted when I bought it and there were no markings for it's make etc so unfortunately I can't help.
My light started blinking at an odd Ikm figure. Service was done less than 1000 kms ago. Does this mean they lied about the oil change?
More likely that they just forgot to reset the service indicator when they did the service. The same happened to me once and I'd seen them actually service it in front of me.
Having owned 60 odd bike in my 35 years of biking, I find you can ride anything anywhere. Its a matter of mind over matter. Ride a bike according to your limits. Plan your ride and stop often. People cross Europe on Honda C90's. I crossed france and into Belgium on a Daytona 675, Kawasaki ZX-9R, Kawasaki Z1000 and a Aprilia Mille. This year i took a Honda vfr800x crossrunner to Normandy, and that nearly broke down!!
I did a 3000 mile 3 week trip across 10 countries last summer on my Africa Twin. But I also did 500 miles over 2 days camping on my 125cc Honda Innova last year plus a load of green lanes on it so anything is possible on anything!
Thnx
